Who is the Cash Register Shop?

The Cash Register Shop is a division on Turnkey Data Systems and it has been providing IT equipment, such as point of sale, cash registers, computers since 1998.
 

I am nervous buying over the internet

We understand especially with all the fraud happening around us but if it will put you at ease we can supply you with all our supplier numbers where you can make reference checks about us. We have been in business for a long time and we are not a fly-by-night company.
 

How do I order?

Simply send us an email with your request and we will confirm the order with you by email with our bank details.  Payment is only by direct deposit.

All products are only released once the funds have cleared our account.
 

What about vat?

All our prices are exclusive of vat unless stated otherwise.
 

If I buy a cash register, how do I get it programmed

Email us your items in a spreadsheet and we will program the cash register for you. You can also send us your business Logo and we will add it to the machine. Your business logo must be in a Black and White bitmap. Unfortunately we don’t accept faxes or PDF files for programming.
 

What about support?

Support for the first 30 days is free of charge.

Thereafter we will support XLPOINT via teamviewer, so an internet connection will need to be provided for remote support. The cost per 30 minute call is R200.00 plus vat.

If you want a technician to come on site then a call out charge is billed and that cost will depend on your location. The travel cost is billed per kilometer at a rate of R5 per km with a minimum call out cost of R250.00 plus vat.

For cash register support it is essential that you are behind the machine when you call so we can guide you over the phone as to what to do. Passing information onto someone else doesn’t work.
 

Do you support machines purchased from other vendors?

Yes we do but a pre paid support call of R400.00 is charged, and this support call is valid for 1 hour  If the support consultant has to come on site then a pre paid call out fee of R250.00 is also charged. These prices are exclusive of vat.
 

What do I get with my purchase?

All our machines include a suppliers manual and a set of cash register keys. We also have “easier to read” manuals which we can e-mail to you, and certain machines have a FREE video tutorial.
 

How much does shipping cost?

You can either use your own couriers to collect the machines or we can use ours to send it to you.

Courier charges depend on the weight of the product and on your location.
 

Do you ship internationally?

Currently no.
 

Can I return my purchase?

All cash registers require some setup from us and expenses are incurred every time an order is processed, therefore a 20% handling fee is charged. You can return the merchandise within 7 days of the shipping date. Returns are not allowed after 7 days. See Return Policy page for more information
 

Can I upgrade my machine?

We will upgrade your cash register to another model if you find that the machine you purchased is not adequate. You will only need to pay the difference in price.  See our Return Policy for details on returning machines.
 

What about the guarantee?

All our new products carry a minimum of a 1 year guarantee.
 

What do I do for repairs?

Call us and we will try and solve the problem first telephonically. The majority of problems can be solved over the telephone.
If the machine does not come on at all then we will collect it, repair it, and send it back to you.
